Income limit 33.614 euro
The Dutch government has decided that following European legislation by 1 January 2011 at least 90% of dwellings per year should be allocated to people, with a combined taxable income of up to 33,614 euros. The measure applies to all rental properties with a rent of 652.52 euros per month (January 1, 2011 price level).
Implementation of the rules for students?
Yes, housing corporations need to apply these new regulations for students also. If your income is up to 33,614 euros, you at least qualify for a house with a rent of up to 652.52 euros.
What data do you have to show?
Once you get offered a house, we ask you your income information. If you receive student finance, you have to prove this to us. In that cas, your household income is always up to 13,215.83 euros (price level 2010). You can request a proof of student finance by the Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO).
If you do not receive student finance, then we test your expected revenue for 2011. Please deliver a copy of your final tax income assessment 2010 or, if you do not report, an IB60 form about 2010. The IB60 form is available at the Belastingdienst, telephone 0800-0543.
We encourage you to IB-60 form beforehand because it may take ten days. When you do not have the correct income data, we are forced to offer the dwelling to the next candidate.
