You may register if you are following or will be following a full-time course. If you are under 18, you can register from the September prior to the start of your study.
No. Unfortunately it is not possible to transfer your Klik voor Kamers registration to Klik voor Wonen. It is possible, however, to register for Klik voor Kamers as well as Klik voor Wonen.
No. Living with more than one person in a student bedsit or student flat is not permitted. Klik voor Kamers only allows one person to register at a time.
1. You will be deregistered if you do not renew your registration. We will let you know when you need to renew your registration each year. If you fail to renew your registration within four weeks, we will assume that you are no longer interested in renting student accommodation and will automatically remove you from our records.
2. You will also be deregistered if you accept an independent student flat. (If you accept a bedsit, your registration with Klik voor Kamers will continue.)
3. You will be deregistered if you no are longer in full-time education.
After the advertising period has expired, the Lot-based model is used to award the accommodation by lot to a candidate on the waiting list. The accommodation is awarded irrespective of how long the candidate has been on the waiting list. The Lot-based model is used to allocate studentrooms.
After the advertising period has expired, the Supply model is used to award the accommodation based on waiting time. The Supply model is therefore dependent on the length of time you have been on the waiting list. The Supply model is used for letting independent student flats.
For some accommodations we use the Direct for hire model. Everyone can react on this accommodation, but you need some speed. The first one to react, gets the offer.
The price of a studentroom or flat varies. A few rooms are available for under € 300. But there are also rooms that include all facilities, such as heating costs, water and electricity, which cost €500 and upwards.
The Dutch government has decided that following European legislation by 1 January 2011 at least 90% of dwellings per year should be allocated to people, with a combined taxable income of up to 33,614 euros. The measure applies to all rental properties with a rent of 652.52 euros per month (January 1, 2011 price level). We ask you to declare that your income date is correct. We are allowed to save this information in your personal file.
Once you get offered a house, we ask you your income information. If you receive student finance, you have to prove this to us. In that cas, your household income is always up to 13,215.83 euros (price level 2010). You can request a proof of student finance by the Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO). If you do not receive student finance, then we test your expected revenue for 2011. Please deliver a copy of your final tax income assessment 2009 or, if you do not report, an IB60 form about 2009. The IB60 form is available at the Belastingdienst, telephone 0800-0543.
The starting point is the date of signing the contract and the salary is based on the year you enter into the contract.
If you earn more, you will not receive student finance.
Priority as a student in Breda will be given on the basis of several factors:
1. You must be starting or have recently started a full-time study in Breda;
2. Your travelling distance must be over an hour each way by public transport.
If you meet these criteria you may be eligible for the first year student regulation.
You can only be given priority on the accommodation waiting list if there is a serious disaster, such as a fire in the student accommodation you currently rent from one of the housing corporations. In this case, please contact the relevant lessor. If you are renting private accommodation and have become homeless due to a disaster, you will not be given priority over other students, although you will be eligible for the immediate lot-based assignment of any rooms that become available.
For independent student flats you can recieve rent subsidy. You have to be at least 18 years to reveice rent subsidy. Check www.toeslagen.nl for more information. There are some studentrooms with rent subsidy. If rent subsidy is possible for this rooms, you'll see it in advertisement.
A studentroom is a private bedroom/sitting room that includes separate kitchen, showering and toilet facilities that are shared between one or more students. Not all student rooms in student houses are studentrooms. Rooms owned by housing corporations never have a landlady or landlord with whom you lodge. Each student home may be occupied by a group of students only.
An independent student flat is accommodation in a complex with a student living area that includes a bedroom/sitting room as well as a private kitchen, shower and toilet. These facilities do not need to be shared with other occupants in the complex. Independent student flats are let using the Offer model, i.e. applicants are awarded the accommodation based on their accumulated waiting time. You must be over 18 to be eligible for an independent student flat. You can usually apply for a rent subsidy if you rent an independent student flat.
